Roaring Lion in Acrylic Painting Effect

Roaring Lion in Acrylic Painting Effect

Have you ever heard a lion roar? In the wild, the roar of a lion is so loud that it can be heard for more than 5 kilometers! Any creature that hears it seems to be warned, "If you hear my roar, then leave immediately." What if you yourself had a close look at a wild lion roaring? Never mind, because in my post this time, I will show you a digital painting of a roaring lion that is not scary but can actually entertain you all.

I created this digital painting using the acrylic painting effect technique from photoshop. The original image of the roaring lion you can find here. In summary, the stages and methods are as follows:

The image size used is 1380 px; 1380 px, with resolution 300 ppi

  1. To create an acrylic painting effect using the acrylic effect brush tools (or you can find the acrylic painting background using Google search engine)
  2. I using multi-layer + layer mask (background, model)
  3. For the background using 2 layers, the blending mode used is normal mode (opacity 100%) + multiply (opacity 100%)
  4. For the roaring lion using 2 layers, the blending mode used is normal mode (opacity 100%) + overlay (opacity 88%)
  5. For each image uses the filter - noise - greyCstoration, after that use the filter - artistic - watercolor
  6. Use the acrylic effect brush tools for layer masks
  7. Then sharpen each image using the filter - sharpen - smart sharpen
  8. To create a painting effect on canvas using filter - filter gallery - texture- texturizer (canvas)
  9. Color effects using vibrance (with vibrance 0, and saturation -37)
  10. Lighting effects using brightness and contrast (with contrast -40, and brightness 102)
Hopefully the digital painting of the roaring lion above can cheer all of your hearts ... enjoy
