When Eagle Fighting Snake - Digital Oil Painting

 

The eagle is a deadly predator, which is in the air. The advantage of this bird is that it is able to see its prey from a great distance. Even the sharpness of his eyes could see small objects in motion. Once found a potential prey, this bird will dive from a height of up to hundreds of meters. Not even a few of its prey cannot avoid this bird and eventually become its food.

But what if the eagle fighting a snake that is also a deadly predator? The eagle that does not fight snakes on the ground. The eagle lifted the snake to the sky and changed the battlefield and then carried the snake flying into the sky. The snake soon became devoid of stamina, strength, and no balance in the air, nor was it useless, weak, and vulnerable unlike on the ground where snakes were very strong and deadly.

The brief story about the eagle fighting snakes like the one above is just the introduction of my post this time. The eagle fighting the snake, of course, is very interesting if it is created in an oil painting effect. I've created it using photoshop, and the stages and methods I use are as follows:

1. The original image of the eagle fighting snake can be found here
2. I use image size 1380 px; 1380 px, with the resolution of 300 ppi
3. I use a multi-layer + layer mask for each image
4. Create the background image using an oil painting brush or watercolor brush tools (depend on your imagination)
5. To create an oil painting effect, each image uses the filter - noise - greyCstoration, after that use the filter - artistic - watercolor
6. Duplicate the background image that has been made, change the blend mode to soft light (opacity 54%);
7. Place the image of the eagle fighting snake on top of the background layer, use the layer mask technique to display the image without a background
8. Duplicate the image of the eagle fighting snake image that has been made, change the blend mode to soft light (opacity 98%);
9. To create a realistic oil painting effect, each image uses the filter - artistic - plastic warp (highlight strength 2, detail 2, smoothness 6)
10. To create a painting effect on canvas using filter - filter gallery - texture- texturizer (canvas) 
11. Lighting effects using brightness and contrast (with contrast -31, and brightness 44)
12. Color effects using vibrance (with vibrance 0, and saturation -15)
13. As the final of the steps mentioned above, give the finishing touches according to your imagination and creativity.
